Friday Apple Culture in Forming The Character of Students at MIN 4 Ponorogo

Abstract

 


This research aims to (1) describe the character formation of class 2A students through the Friday apple culture at MIN 4 Ponorogo; (2) describe the impact of character formation for class 2A students through the Friday apple culture at MIN 4 Ponorogo. This research was designed using a qualitative case study type approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects of this research were class 2A students, class 2A homeroom teachers, Deputy Head of Curriculum, Deputy Head of Student Affairs, and the Principal of MIN 4 Ponorogo. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.


The results of data analysis include (1) Character formation of class 2A students through the Friday roll call culture at MIN 4 Ponorogo, namely forming disciplined character (time discipline) and obeying rules. Meanwhile, the formation of religious character means that students regularly perform midday and midday prayers, memorize short letters, Asmaul Husna and Shalawat, get into the habit of shaking hands in the morning and recite prayers before and after learning. Then, the character of responsibility is formed, namely carrying out the tasks given by the teacher, and students are able to build courage in themselves. (2) The impact of forming the character of class 2A students through Friday roll call at MIN 4 Ponorogo, namely the formation of students' disciplined, religious and responsible character.
