Abstract

areas of state and social life. Child protection activities have legal consequences, both in relation to written and unwritten laws. This research uses a qualitative approach with an empirical juridical type of research. Legal protection is regulated in the form of regulations and their implementation which is expected to provide guarantees for the fulfillment of children's rights so that they can live, grow, develop and participate optimally in accordance with human dignity, to receive protection from all kinds of violence, injustice, neglect, discrimination. , exploitation, or other negative actions in order to create a strong nation's children as the next generation in the future. Law Number 35 of 2014 and Law no. 23 of 2002 are 2 normative laws which contain child protection, including the right to live with dignity, have a name, worship according to their religion, and protection from harassment and involvement in armed conflict. The law also guarantees protection from violence in various activities, and children's rights are divided into ten basic categories, including the rights to happiness, education, protection, name, citizenship, food, health, recreation, equal treatment, and involvement. in state affairs. development. Child protection can be juridical or non-juridical, and the law guarantees the protection, care and welfare of children, with the role of society carried out by various institutions and organizations. However, there are still cases where children's rights are not fulfilled, especially for children from minority and isolated groups, so the implementation of child protection needs to be balanced with statutory regulations to ensure optimal fulfillment of children's rights.
