MERETAS PERBEDAAN TEOLOGIS DENGAN AJARAN TASAWUF WAHDATUL ADYAN

Abstract

Abstract: The religious relations today tend to deny the spirit of universal humanity,
changing to sectarian spirit. The issue of religion was appointed to carry the interests
of power. The idea of a defense of God became a utopian idea. The monotheistic faith
then focuses on symbols, not on the core of religion. Inevitably, this exoteric religious
attitude leads to confrontation in the name of religion. As a solution to the problem
of dehumanization, Sufism offers a moderate idea that is humanist and universal in
the context of relatio ns of religions, namely the concept of wah}dat al-adyân. This
paper intends to express sufistic reason wah}dat al-adyân and that the dimensions of
esotericism (tasawuf) are needed in building harmonious interactions between people.
