Abstract

Abstract: This paper intends to explain how Modern Islam to overcome social
conflict in a multicultural framework. In Indonesia, multicultural awareness is very
necessary given the diversity of people in different background, but also Indonesia is
an archipelago with the number of islands more than 18 thousand. This means that
there are many different ethnic groups, beliefs, cultures and so on or can be called
multicultural. The meaning of multi-culture in addition to the wealth of the State,
he also became the scourge that threatens the harmony of life of the nation and the
state if the wealth is not understood and understood with a qualified knowledge.
